RECOVERY MAPS include all known recoveries to and from West Berkshire and around. It includes recoveries from other ringers notified to the group and taken from the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) Ringing & Recoveries summaries web page. Recoveries are those over 5 kilometres from the place of ringing. Recaptured less than 5 km are known as retraps and apart from very sedentary species for many this is within home territory. Some species have considerable numbers of recoveries and have sub-pages for within and outside the United Kingdom. Recoveries fall broadly into the following:
